sooo... we are down to just a few finishing items. Today they installed the on-demand heating system (very nice green solution for heating water) and the air/heating system + finish work (baseboards, windows, etc.) should be installed tomorrow. THEN it's a final inspection and I can begin moving in. The bamboo floors are fantastic and I'm hoping with a couple of freelance projects this summer, we can just quickly install the ofuro, Japanese tub outside. As you can tell from quite a few of the photos, we have an ugly ugly view of our neighbors corrugated fiberglass wall - yuck. I have plans for a small grove of black bamboo to hid that eye-sore.
I'm nervous about how much stuff I have to store but I think I might have a fire sale at the old POST space and try to get rid of a bunch of artwork otherwise I could torch or take some things apart.
